Drone strike sparks blaze at Russia's Krasnodar refinery, two dead

A drone attack on the Afipsky oil refinery and an adjacent gas processing plant in Russia's Krasnodar region ignited a large fire on Tuesday, resulting in two fatalities. Regional emergency services reported that the explosion damaged several storage tanks and prompted an immediate evacuation of nearby workers. The blaze, which officials said was brought under control after several hours, caused a temporary shutdown of the refinery's output.

Local authorities confirmed that the two people killed were plant employees who were caught in the initial blast. Injuries among other staff were treated on site, and the injured were later transferred to hospitals in Krasnodar city.
