Karnataka has been placed third in the NITI Aayog’s Electric Mobility Index for 2025, achieving a composite score of 73, according to The Hindu. Delhi led the chart with an 84‑point tally, while Maharashtra followed at 78 points.

The index, released by the government’s policy think‑tank, evaluates Indian states on a suite of parameters that gauge readiness for electric vehicle (EV) adoption.
