NATO’s leadership announced on Friday that the alliance stands ready to take any measures deemed necessary after a media outlet reported that Iran had examined the possibility of striking U.S. facilities on the European continent. The report, published by an unnamed news agency, suggested that Iranian planners had identified several high‑value U.S. assets in Europe as potential targets.
