Accidental blazes raze 19 houses in Stourbridge

West Midlands Fire Service confirmed that two distinct fires swept through Stourbridge in the West Midlands, leaving 19 residential properties gutted. The service described the incidents as accidental, ruling out deliberate arson and prompting a large‑scale emergency response.

The blazes erupted at separate sites within the town, each quickly engulfing the structures involved. Crews from several fire stations were mobilised, working through the night to bring the flames under control and to protect neighbouring dwellings. By the time the fires were fully extinguished, 19 homes were rendered uninhabitable.

Following the extinguishment, fire investigators examined the scenes to determine the origin of each blaze.
