Mankal Vaidya Secures Karnataka Deputy Speaker Post Without Opposition

Mankal Vaidya, a long‑time representative from Uttara Kannada, has been elected Deputy Speaker of the Karnataka Legislative Assembly without any rival candidates. The unanimous decision was taken during a recent session of the house, signalling broad support across party lines for his appointment.
